A Little Humor During Meal Prep

Not long ago while I sliced and diced and discarded veggie scraps, I marveled at what I saw. To my amazement, the trimmings were looking back at me!

On their own they made a face as I scraped the scraps from the cutting board into the bowl. A tuft of hair, eyes and eyebrows, a long nose and a mouth formed in an "O."

The veggie face made me smile and brought me a sense of joy...in an entirely new way.
